Course Modules
Modules will include videos, lessons, reflection activities, checks for understanding, additional resources and a performance task to apply what you learn.
Module 1:Introduction
Answer what is competency-based learning, why is it important and how I can design performance-based assessments to make learning more?
Module 2:Define levels of proficiency
Design a learning experience with clear learning outcomes and defined levels of proficiency (rubrics).
Module 3:Design backwards
Design backwards, starting from essential questions and desired learning outcomes aligned to appropriate summative assessments.
Module 4:Emphasize the iterative process
Focus on high expectations for achievement while providing feedback and opportunities for practice, revision, and improvement.
Module 5:Reflection
Reflect on practices.
