Your Vision, Your Team, Our Support

Let’s Collaborate

Now booking 2023-24 partnerships. Schedule time to connect with our team.

Learner-centered education is most effective when a collective learning community progresses toward common goals. We facilitate this by helping schools develop and articulate learner-centered outcomes, support educators in developing effective instructional and assessment practices, and create the enabling conditions that result in transformative change.

Designed for:
School and district leaders, guiding coalitions, and educator teams

Format:

  • Virtual or on-site
  • 1-day to multi-year engagements

Let’s make your vision a reality, together.

Leveraging an ecosystem approach, our school and district collaborations recognize the critical importance of all parts of a learning community working together. Our work together is customized to meet your needs and will always aim to build your team’s internal capacity and expertise in order to grow learner-centered practices in your context. In partnership, we’ll identify your district’s strengths and needs and build upon what’s working to advance your learner-centered journey.

Leadership

Framework for the Future

Whether you are designing a new school or shifting within an existing context our team will guide the creation of a Framework for the Future including a Learner Profile, Success Indicators, and a Learning Model.

Explore what this looks like in Logan County Schools (KY) and Compass Charter Schools.

Leadership Development

Customized to meet your specific needs, this work ranges from helping to form and lead a guiding coalition, to developing relational trust, to leadership coaching that supports creating the enabling conditions for achieving the goals of your learning community.

See how we’re partnering with Santa Ana Unified (CA) on leadership development, listening to learners, and supporting districtwide innovation.

Learning Walks

We lead you through a learner-centered, non-evaluative observation process that promotes opening up classrooms, discussing practices, and learning together. You will gain tools for celebrating what is working and identifying next steps and will come away with a post-walk reflection and executive summary from our team.

Learning Walks have informed Utah’s state-wide effort to scale its Personalized, Competency-Based Learning framework.

Diagnostic Assessment

Based on our 10 Enabling Conditions of Learner-Centered Ecosystems, we will conduct a diagnostic including stakeholder interviews, classroom visits, student focus groups, and a document review. From there, we provide a customized report of strengths, opportunities, and recommendations to move your vision forward.

Pedagogy and Practice

Educator Pathways

A year-long pathway allows a team of educators or the whole school to identify their desired goal based on their learning model, learn new strategies, try out ideas, and engage in learning cycles in a supportive community to deepen expertise and impact. These pathways put an emphasis on one of our four learner-centered principles: Competency-Based, Authentic, Personalized, and Inclusive & Equitable.

The El Segundo Unified School District team shares how they’re leveraging Pathways to realize personalized, learner-centered experiences throughout their district.
