Jesse Ross, Director of Strategic Partnerships, is dedicated to amplifying the voice and agency of all learners. In more than fifteen years in innovative education, Jesse has taken on roles ranging from community college writing instructor to design thinking coach to partnership director at a student-led non-profit. At every stop on this journey, he’s benefited from the wisdom, wonder, and personal expertise that learners of every age have to offer. Drawing on these lessons as a member of Learner-Centered Collaborative, Jesse is committed to walking side-by-side with visionary partners toward a more relevant and empowering educational future.
Jesse has earned Bachelor’s degrees in political science, English, and psychology, and a Master’s in English. An experienced public speaker, he delivers keynote and graduation speeches, leads workshops at national conferences, and performs the wedding ceremonies of some of his closest friends. While he sometimes makes furniture, runs, and plans elaborate meals, he mostly spends his time happily lost in the mysteries of fatherhood and family. Jesse lives in Seattle with his wife, his two young children, and all of those trees.
