Who knew a career in education would lead me to running a coffee shop and bike shop? At Embark Education, where I served as Director, the literal real world was our learning environment. That experience deepened my belief in what’s possible when learning is truly learner-centered—for both youth and adults.
I bring that belief to Learner Centered Collaborative, alongside years of experience as a teacher, coach, program designer, and school and nonprofit leader in innovative education spaces. I’ve supported project-based learning at PBLWorks, led initiatives and designed systems at New Tech Network schools, like digital portfolios and year-long independent projects. My background also includes policy and partnership work focused on high school redesign, including dual enrollment programs at UT-Austin and statewide reform efforts at Texas Education Agency.
Personally, I love dogs, hiking, and mountains. I especially love hiking with dogs in the mountains! Moving outside in nature is where I feel most grounded and recharged.
