Dr. Katie Martin is the author of Learner-Centered Innovation and Evolving Education and serves as the Chief Impact Officer at Learner-Centered Collaborative where she leads their mission to partner with educators to define whole-learner outcomes, design meaningful learning experiences, and create the enabling conditions for their unique journey to inclusive and equitable learner-centered education.   Katie aspires to create experiences that empower all learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and mindsets to thrive in a changing world.  As a mom, she wants her kids to have learning experiences in school that build on their strengths and interests, and as an educator she is passionate about making sure we do the same for all kids.   She is recognized internationally for her approach to learning for both educators and students. She has worked directly with thousands of teachers and administrators in diverse contexts to learn, research, and support deeper learning for all learners. She teaches in the graduate school of Education at High Tech High and is on the board of Real World Scholars. She has served as a middle school English language arts teacher, instructional coach, and district-wide teacher mentoring program lead. She earned a Master of Education in middle school education and a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction.
