As a writer, artist, communicator, and designer, Julia is proud to use her creative communications skillset to create a kinder, more inclusive world, and build a more equitable education system. Prior to joining LCC in March 2025, Julia earned her Bachelors in Politics and Interdisciplinary Humanities from Scripps College. She worked on a variety of congressional campaigns, served as a communications consultant for education and arts nonprofits, and spent time as a long term high school English and social studies teacher at Denver Public Schools as well as a youth sexual assault prevention educator. Julia lives in Denver with her partner Evan and their cats Olivia and Eric. She loves comedy, theater, skiing, traveling, yin yoga, and going on walks.
