Sandy Cima

Sandy Cima is a passionate advocate for learner-centered education, driven by her personal journey navigating a learning disability. With a deep belief that learning doesn’t look the same for everyone, she is committed to creating spaces where every student can thrive beyond traditional models.

Sandy began her professional journey at UCSF, where she supported a Clinical and Translational Research Fellowship Program as a program assistant. This experience honed her skills in organization, communication, and program management. She later transitioned into the edtech world, spending over a decade helping to design and manage systems that empower educators and learners alike.

Currently, Sandy plays a pivotal role at Learner-Centered Collaborative, managing all backend business operations and ensuring that internal processes run smoothly. Her work helps keep the entire team aligned and focused, allowing the organization to live out its mission more effectively.

At home, Sandy lives with her husband and their two elementary school-aged children. She finds joy and balance in the outdoors, spending her free time hiking and exploring nature. Sandy’s personal and professional paths are deeply intertwined, and she continues to be fueled by a vision of an educational world where every learner is recognized, supported, and celebrated for their unique strengths.
